Nick Cherrie

Biography
Nick is a registered Psychologist, with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from the University of Newcastle, and a Master of Organisational Psychology from Macquarie University.
Nick primarily utilises CBT and interpersonal therapy to assist clients with a range of mental health concerns, from relationship problems, to work and study stressors, to anxiety or depression. In particular, Nick is very interested in assisting members of the LGBT community who may be experiencing concerns with their mental health. He firmly believes in a client-centred approach, working collaboratively with the client and their health team to achieve the best results. He is passionate about helping people to meet their goals, develop resilience, and progress on their recovery journey.
Nick has experience working predominantly in the social and community sector, working with a range of care providers to provide mental health support and support coordination. He also has extensive experience working with the NDIS, and has worked with clients from a range of social and cultural backgrounds. In addition, Nick has had experience working with clients under WorkCover and EAPs. Nick is EMDR certified.
