Nadine Abdalla - Psychologist (Parramatta)
Nadine is an AHPRA-registered psychologist and a Board Approved Supervisor. She completed a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Western Sydney as well as a Post-Graduate Diploma in Professional Psychology from Macquarie University. She completed her Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the Australian College of Applied Psychology, as well as her Masters of Clinical Psychology at the Cairnmillar Institute.
Nadine has experience working with psychosis, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, trauma, depression, and anxiety, as well as a range of other mental health disorders. She has worked with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and age brackets, ranging from children to late adults.
Nadine provides psychological assessment and treatment based on the scientist-practitioner model, offering a range of evidence-based approaches supported by scientific research. Her therapeutic orientation primarily involves Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy, though she adopts an eclectic approach when suitable. Her experience extends to working with the self in a psychodynamic and psychoanalytical manner, and her therapeutic orientation is primarily psychodynamic. Her passion is to support clients in overcoming the stigma of mental health and leading more fulfilling lives, working collaboratively with clients and other health workers to achieve the best treatment outcomes. Nadine’s passion also includes supporting clients to cultivate a more positive self-identity and self-view.
Nadine is an Approved Counsellor through Victim Services and holds SIRA accreditation for work cover cases.
